Install on Gemini.
Upload every file from each skill folder into a Gem’s Knowledge section. Gems do not support native Skills ZIP upload yet.
Reference files
Each Gem holds up to 10 files (100 MB each). A single skill folder often contains more than 10 files once you count evals/, references/, and scripts/ — you may need one Gem per skill, or use Claude/ChatGPT native Skills upload instead.
- 1
Download and unzip a topic pack
Pick a pack below. Each subfolder is a complete skill — open one and note all files and subfolders inside.
- 2
Open Gem Manager
Go to gemini.google.com → Gem Manager → New Gem. Name it after the skill or pack you are loading.
- 3
Upload all files from the skill folder
In Knowledge → +, upload every file from the skill folder — SKILL.md, files inside evals/, references/, and any other supporting docs. Repeat per skill. Do not upload only SKILL.md.
- 4
Write Gem instructions
Tell Gemini to read SKILL.md first, then pull from evals/ and references/ when the workflow calls for them.
- 5
Chat inside the Gem
Start conversations with that Gem selected so Knowledge files stay in context. Gemini retrieves matching passages when your question aligns with a file.
Tips
- If a skill folder exceeds 10 files, native Skills upload in Claude or ChatGPT is the better path.
- One Gem per skill is often necessary given file caps.
