Social Media Skills for Grok Bot

Save each skill as a private Grok Bot skill. Grok Bot does not load a skills folder from disk.

Private skill

Paste a skill’s instructions into a Bot chat and ask it to save them as a private skill. This is Grok Bot, not Grok chat, and not Grok Build’s ~/.grok/skills folder.

Before you start

  • Grok Bot on desktop, on a plan that includes it.

    Download a topic pack

    Unzip a pack from the desktop guides. Each folder is one skill. Open its SKILL.md — that text is what the Bot saves.

    Ask the Bot to save a private skill

    Paste the SKILL.md instructions into the chat and ask Grok Bot to save them as a private skill. Repeat for each skill you need. Private skills are shared across your Bots.

    Invoke it with /

    Type / in the desktop composer and pick the skill. If it is missing, open Connect apps → Your plugins → Manage plugins and skills and check Private skills.

Tips

  • Save brand-profile and voice-builder first so later skills stay on brand.
  • A routine can rerun a saved skill on a schedule once the workflow is stable.
